Receive Free (Water) Guns on our Second Anniversary

The Starter Kit's two-year anniversay show is fast approaching. For our first anniversay, Austin was in the middle of a heat wave and the air conditioner at The Hideout Theatre was sporadic at best. To relieve the heat and bring the audience in on the the fun we have on stage, we decided to hand out water guns to everyone in the audience. They were encouraged to shoot at us whenever they felt the desire, and we gave them plenty of cues to do so. We played everything from superhero plumbers trying to solve a leak by putting our fingers in the hole to a child being interrogated by Blackwater through waterboarding, only to turn the tables when he became the interrogator's boss at the age of 12. Some of the best memories from that show were the faces on the audience, some of them our fellow Austin improvisers, filled with glee as they soaked us from head to toe. This year, The Hideout Theatre has a fully-functioning air conditioner and we've yet to know what the weather has in store for us. However, for The Starter Kit's second anniversary, we couldn't resist the need to bring back the water guns. We're excited about this show and hope to see you April 17 at The Hideout Theatre.
